Ablation Procedure

Ablation Procedure

At Ascension Genesys Michigan, one of the doctors that I was going to get an Appt. with is on this You tube. They were talking about that they do ablations without exposure to radiation, they use Ultra Sound guidance in 3D mapping. The doctor said that sometimes the patient can go home the same day of his ablation, does Dr. Natalie use this as well?

I don't think it's very new.
3D mapping is common use.
I asked my EP about this, while planning for my last touch-up, and he said they now use far less radiation for an ablation than for a radiography of the lungs.

I went home on the same day. Whatever mapping they choose, it should be the best. I doubt that ultra sound does a better or equal job of mapping. I would take the radiation, but asking the Doctor the pros and cons would be a good idea.

Going home the same day has nothing to do with the mapping technology they use. That's purely a decision based on risk assessment. Almost all centers in the US require an overnight stay no matter what sort of mapping they used.
