Burning sensation in stomach 5 weeks post Ablation
October 26, 2012 03:26PM
This is waking me up at night.. no reflux.. no apparent heartburn, but a steady "fire" in my stomach. I blame Xarelto (which I take with my evening meal). Since my risk for stroke on all the scores is VERY low, I don't know why I should continue with blood thinners for another two months. Do all cardiologists prescribe this regimen of 3 months on Sulcrate ( I stopped after 3 weeks) blood thinners and anti-arrhythmics post Cardiac Ablation? Inquiring mind wants to know....

following my 8/21 ablation I was on Lovenox shots for 5 days and Warfarin for 7 weeks the he took me off.....I had real trouble getting my INR to 2.0 or 2.5.....had to use 10 and 15mg of Warfarin....I refused Xarelto and or Pradaxa.........I do not know what the actual stroke risk really is following an ablation.....I am beginning to believe that it low.

No idea why you would have a burning in your stomach.....I am 9.5 weeks now and doing really well (so far smiling smiley )

Not being on Warfarin, I have no idea what my INR is. We Xarelto takers get no followups. You don't know how you are REALLY feeling until there are no more medications in your system. That's why I hate taking ANYTHING.
