Echocardio result

My ejection fraction went up approximately 5 percent from have a 3 lead pacemaker replacing my 2 lead over 4 months.

I was hoping for a better result, but I'm sure any improvement is beneficial.

In the test reslult the doctor sent via this thing called mychart, he listed:

Right Atrium: The interatrial septum is aneurysmal"

Does anyone know how serious this is? The clinic I go to is booked out for weeks to months. SO, it will be at least 2 weeks before I can get in an hear what it all means.

Please post any and all updates. I need to monitor my EF because there is a risk for HF after having an AV node ablation. My EF jumped from 39 to 50 after my last ablation in January … so don’t worry. I wish you well and that soon you will find more encouraging results

Since your EF went up, are you having more energy? That was my issue that alerted them that I needed a 3 lead pacemaker. I seem to have more energy but still get tired easily.

How do I feel?
I’m packing and lifting to weigh five 72 pound suitcases now so I guess my energy level is good. I found before I couldn’t go up a flight of stairs without my o2 crashing. Now I can go up 3 flights with normal o2. I get winded if I overdo myself after lifting.

I will be suffering tomorrow when I fly. My o2 drops to 70 when I fly. I get a headache so I bring my portable o2 concentrator with. I think although I feel better since the ablation, my o2 levels is worst now when I fly. I got my 10 day holter results back today and my PVCs are less than 1%. My cardiologist today agrees it was a successful ablation because I had a 50% burden before my ablation. My VT is another story. I had 857 v-tach beats lasting each less than 3 seconds. It’s still less than 1% but I feel each one so I requested a holter. Great news is that I had zero afib episodes -that’s without taking arrhythmia drugs.

Before I could bring my o2 up to 90-94 with 2 liters of oxygen when I fly. Now it takes 3 liters…which means more batteries.

I have a pulse machine so i can’t fall asleep because I am a mouth breather and a pulse unit only works when I inhale through my nose. I’m afraid to tape my mouth.

A continuous flow would be ideal but I need 150% of the flight time worth of batteries on board. The current pulse 5 batteries are just too heavy to bring aboard along with my other stuff, i can’t imagine the weight of a continuous flow unit.

Anyone fly and use o2?
