My condolances to you. Sounds like a very challenging time. I happen to have access to Medscape, so was able to get the name of the product to do the search to find articles outside the paywall.

Thanks, everyone. His passing was amazing. He went out on his own terms, but with a body that might have kept him alive another six months...in bed or in a wheelchair, but he had other acute issues that made life truly miserable. We had 20 people of all ages there, including his four children and their spice. As he was being administered the first of many syringes, he said aloud, 'Into they hands I commit my soul, O Lord. I love you all.'

If you are interested, I didn't have a 'moment' until later when I went through my phone's calendar and deleted the entry for every Thursday. It was when I drove him to Gospel singing, which he loved. The phone prompted me, '...this and all future events?'

I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm glad your father was able to leave on his own terms and surrounded by the people who mattered to him.
