Arteriosil
November 09, 2025 05:56AM
This topic and question likley belongs in the General Health forum (and I will post it there, too), but wanted to pick your very bright brains.
I'm currently on 2.5 mg Eliquis after an August Watchman procedure. I've had 2 ablations with Natale with their excellent after care, but had the Watchman done by a local doc in Los Angeles, so unable to ask this of Natale's group and besides, I don't think they're much into health supplements. / I want to take Ateriosil for it's support of the endothelial glycocalyx. My regular cardiologist, who's aware of my diagnosis of afib and my Eliquis medication, ethusiastically said Yes when I asked him about taking it. He mentioned he takes it daily. / I also messaged my new local EP to ask if OK to take and his NP said it wasn't a problem. However, I read conflicting things online. One national cardiologist says it's fine even if on anticoagulant meds. Another source says to think twice about taking it if on Eliquis. Has anyone in this community experience with this supplement? Also, does anyone here take a 'beet' supplment for the nitric oxide ?

I do consume beet powder as well as beets.

I asked Perplexity AI about the interaction between arteriosil & apixaban (attached PDF). The summary is there is no indication that arteriosil causes a problem, data are also lacking testing this question. Hence, nobody really knows.
