QRS Waves on Kardia Mobile
September 24, 2025 05:27PM
April 9th was my 4th afib ablation. My first PFA.
I have been feeling very well besides having PAC due to taking Amiodrone which effected my thyroid. I am now on thryoid medication until thyroid recovers.

Yesterday after running a few errand I felt lightheaded and a bit dizzy, I used Kardia Mobile to check EKG.
EKG is reading Normal Sinus Rhythm with Wide QRS. Kardia has been reading Normal Sinus since ablation, I do not have any other symptoms, just the EKG reading of Wide QRS. I have a call into doctor but feel very anxious, has anyone had this reading?
Current medication: 120mg time release Diltiazem, Eliquis, Liptor.
Thank you.

Sometimes I'll get a wide QRS reading if I don't carefully follow the rules for best ECG recording technique using the Kardia. Sometimes I will repeat to get a clean reading, but most of the time I don't care and don't bother. I've used a Kardia for over 10 years.

Here is a video from Kardia on their suggestions: [www.youtube.com]

Thank you for your reply. I have been using Kardia Mobile for the past 4 years and although I have gotten Normal Sinus with Wide QRS waves in the past, the EKG as always converted to Normal Sinus. This is not happening this time. I took reading Tuesday at 10:00am and it is the exact same reading every reading for the past day and a half or more.

Doctor finally reached out and wants me to go to office tomorrow morning for EKG, I am very concerned this reading has not converted to Normal. I have read up on Wide QRS and it can be something as a RBB or something wrong with heart.
