Jaw pain during afib?
June 15, 2025 09:23PM
I had a very symptomatic episode of afib beginning about 2:30 a.m. on Friday. Still going strong Saturday when I want to bed. I had trouble getting to sleep because of discomfort in my left jaw. Of course that concerned me, but not enough to go to the ER. I dozed and woke off and on and about 4:15 a.m. I used my KardiaMobile and was in NSR. Anyone else have that symptom? I googled it and it is listed as a symptom of afib but I’ve never experienced it to that degree before.

Thanks, Pam

I would have attributed the jaw pain to an infarction, not to AF. But, my symptoms when in AF never did include pain of any kind. Just the usual shortness of breath on one notable event, thumping in the chest wall, and 'vibration' in the chest.

I'd be a little concerned about ischemia. Have you been tested for coronary disease?
