New AF study you may qualify for
May 14, 2025 05:33PM
University of California San Francisco sent me an email if I wanted to be part of a new study. I was part of a beta testing study for the Samsung Galaxy watch once (thanks George!) They gave me free a new Galaxy ekg watch at the time and a free week holter test.

This new study is on how alcohol affects your atrial fibrillation. I don’t drink but if you do you may qualify. You will get freebies: (glucose sensor, holter, alcohol ankle sensor and a wrist fitness tracker which is cool.

The following is the info:
For 2 weeks, you’ll receive daily random instructions to consume or avoid alcohol, all while wearing an adhesive heart monitor, glucose sensor, alcohol ankle sensor, and wrist worn fitness tracker.

For 1 year, you’ll receive random instructions to avoid or limit your alcohol consumption, and complete weekly surveys through our Eureka mobile app.
Why participate?
No in-person visits required!
You may gain insights into your own health!
Help patients around the world understand the relationship between alcohol and the heart's rhythm!
