I had an ablation on October 30th and had a right Pulmonary Vein Isolation done. They had to do a transseptal puncture to get to the left atrium. Right away after I got ocular migraines that I have never had before. The ocular migraines have subsided and I guess were related to the transseptal puncture, but now I am finding that I am getting headaches every night that last until morning. They are fairly bad headaches, enough to mess with my sleep. This is new since the ablation. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately, that can be a side effect of the transseptal puncture, too:

We encountered a 44-year-old man who presented with de novo migraine-like headache after cryoballoon ablation for atrial fibrillation. On reviewing the literature, we found additional cases in which migraine-like headache occurred within one week after the procedure and spontaneously within three months. We should recognize migraine-like headache as a potential complication of catheter ablation.

Has anyone had any successful relief? Just took some extra magnesium and Valerian after the Ibruprofen failed.

Feeling annoyed. My headaches seem to be worsening and my EP thinks it is not related to the procedure, even though they literally started the day after the ablation and have steadily worsened. Not sure what to at this point.
