New to forum help
August 15, 2024 12:52PM
Hello,

I have been an afibber (paroxysmal) since 2017 and have had an ablation, on meds etc. I am hoping to gain knowledge from this forum to guide my future management/treatment decisions.

I have a question about using this forum. How do I sort posts by date to see the newest posts? They seem to be randomized. When I click on the RSS link I get html code. I have tried both Firefox and Chrome browsers. I did a search for similar questions but found none.

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

I think you can fiddle with settings under 'control center' above the 'Phorum' marquee.

It is what it is. For example, if I submit a new post to a three year old thread, it will show up on page 123 of the forum (made up the number, but you get the idea). It is old software, but the pain of upgrading and potentially losing all the great historical info it very great.

Unfortunately, this is exactly the answer. This software annoys me probably more than it does anyone else, and I'd love to upgrade it, but that's a big job with serious risks and is also rather expensive.

One thing to note about the search feature is that by default it only searches the last 30 days, which is the lamest decision I've ever encountered in a search feature, but I can't find a way to change it. If you want to search for something, always click "advanced" search and then change the search period to "All dates."

Understand. Thanks for the explanation.

The RSS will work depending on the device you use to access it. If you use an Apple device it will not load. RSS will work if you use a PC and it does work in Google Chrome. I have no trouble seeing it using Chrome on my PC. Look carefully at what appears. Yes, you see code but if you look closely the message posted is there as well as the title of the thread.
