Sean Connery, who just recently died had AF, he also had alzimers. Lots of famous people seem to have AF, wonder if AF contributes to Alzimers. Perhaps it would depend on how long you have AF, my mother died at 92 and she had persistent AF for about 7 years, but she was sound of mind, it was her heart.

Anticoagulation = lower risk
