Mirabegron

Hello,

Wonder if anyone has used this. I've been on it, at 25 mg, for 3 weeks with no results. The urologist Dr told me to up it to 50 mg.

When I research the mirabegron, it has a 80 rating, fwiw....

I had a prostate procedure called Euro-lift that has helped with urine flow, but I still wake up every hour to hour and a half.

The Dr. said I could to bladder Botox, but good grief, when I had a cystoscopy it was worse than a kidney stone and they won't give me anything but Valium - which they did with the cystoscopy.

The other urologist i went to wanted to do the Rezum procedure, the Dr. that did the Euro-lift said his was less invasive. The other urologist said I'd still have issues with bladder spasms since I have the prostate issue for so long.

Not to sound like a TV commercial but ask your doctor about Gemtesa.

It's new and expensive with no generic available but worth it if it works.

I tried Myrbetiq and it was of no help.

With my cystoscopy they put enugh Lidocaine in there during the whole procedure that it wasn't too bad. Ativan helped, too.

FWIW, my Urologist said to drink virtualy all of my daily water intake before 3 PM. Doing that cut out maybe one of the bathroom trips but wasn't really worth it.

Saywhat - Thanks. I'll look into that Gemtesa. I get my generic eliquis from discount Canada drugs and they have gemtesa for $89 for 30 supply.

Good night! mirabegron caused me SO much back pain I had to stop a few days ago. The Dr. upped my dose to 50 mg from 25 last week, besides I didn't get any relief.

BTW, not drinking doesn't seem to matter. If I have 2 drops, as the kidneys usually do something, I'll wake up.

Re: cystoscopy - yes, I forgot to mention that, they did that too with the lidocaine, but no IV meds. Maybe the nurse didn't put enough in (and that was no fun either).

I get back ablations once a year and they use IV versed. I don't feel any pain or remember anything - just have to have someone drive me home. I asked the Dr. about it and he said insurance doesn't like to pay for that but he can put it in and see.

Thanks for the Canadian price on Gemtesa. I just ordered 90 of them for $349. Made in England.

My USA insurance has it listed as Schedule 4, with myMedicare copay being $688. virtually double the Canadian price.

No generic to be available for years.

I find it, combined with Flomax and Finisteride, quire effective.
