slight imbalance and ligthheadness

I've had 2 ablations with Dr. Natale; most recently in 2024. Then had a Watchman inserted by Shephal Doshi in Santa Monica, CA. I've been well regulated on 25 mg Flecanide and 6.25 mg Metroprolol, twice/day. (After my Watchman I was placed on low dose aspirin to replace my Eliquis).
I've been fine on these meds but have noticed the past few weeks feeling a little imbalanced as I walk. It comes and goes, but is present daily. There's also some small light-headedness from time to time, but very, very minor. I never feel in danger of fainting. However, these symptoms are a new experience for me, so I'm curious and a little concerned.

'Google' tells me Flecainide and Metroprolol can have such side effects. / I've just left a message for the local EP. But I wondered if anyone on this board has had similar experiences.

George, you're right about the reason for the Met. Thanks for everyone's replies. Will start recording my BP's to have when I see the doc on Wednesday.

I don't know why you'd still (want to) be on metoprolol, unless it's for incipient hypertension. And why the flecainide? Do you still have arrhythmia now and then?

I'm guessing the metoprololol goes with the flec as risk mitigation against 1:1 conduction atrial flutter.

I agree with recording BP & HR.

I would record my waking, mid-day, resting/sedentary, and evening BP for several days running to see what the range is, particularly when you know you're about to stand and to move around. You may be experiencing bradycardia (officially an HR <60, but many cardiologists feel/know that for many an HR <45 is more realistic, especially for otherwise healthy people and hearts). When I was a young buck and was running 10 miles each day, my resting HR was 38. Now, after two ablations and four decades, I'm much closer to 57.

If you have had a successful ablation, I don't know why you'd still (want to) be on metoprolol, unless it's for incipient hypertension. And why the flecainide? Do you still have arrhythmia now and then?

Yes similar symptoms on occasion. I blame my low heart rate. It’s almost always in the low to mid 50s, dropping to 49 a couple times. I’m on 25 mg metoprolol daily and 400 mg Multaq twice a day. I lowered the metoprolol from 50 to 25 on the advice of my EPs NP. Didn’t help. I’m having an ablation in October so I can hopefully stop Multaq.
