Curious case of Afib and Stent

In early September 2024 I had a stent put in. According to my cardiologist it was "not prognostically significant". In any case since November 13/24 I have had no afib episodes. This is very curious because I was regularly having 2-3 episodes every month. They were all quite short (mostly less than an hour) and quickly dispatched by Flecanide. Now for I am into 7th month of nothing but the occasional PAC, flip or flutter. And best of all no Flec.
I can find studies that show people can develop afib after having a stent; but none of afib disappearing.
Any thoughts, anybody?

Just an update - it is now a year since my afib disappeared. Have a bottle of unused flec in my cupboard. Hopefully never have to take them again.

Yes, I am taking Clopidogrel and Pantoprazole for 1 year (till end of Aug.). Also new is I am on statins. None of those should have any impact on Afib, I think. Previously only Apixaban and Bisoprolol both of which I have taken for years.

I did not include my history. I have had afib for 30 years - my immediate family has three other members with it. So probably more of a genetic cause. I have had ablations 2007 and 2020. The the first one stopped episodes for about two years. The second one, not really for any considerable length of time. But they became shorter.

Lucky you. It could be that your afib was being caused by reduced blood flow to the heart, so opening that artery up improved circulation and thereby eliminated the afib. Just speculation, but it's pretty plausible.
