Heart Monitor

Scheduled for a flutter ablation with Natale on March 11. They have recommended that I get a Kardia Mobile in order to provide weeky EKGs post procedure. In my instructions there was a link to Amazon for the single-lead device. I am aware there is also a six-lead device.

Any suggestions on which device to acquire.....any reason to go with the six-lead????

Thanks

I would think that a reputable electrophysiologist would appreciate a clean EKG.

Thanks for the quick replies......same thoughts myself.
The person who provided my pre-procedure instructions in Natale's office said to not get the subscription service.

It is ironic......my initial ablation with Natale was March 10. 2011. That was the date of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Couldn't sleep in the hospital, so watched the the news all night long. Will never forget that date.
(No, they don't survive a washing machine.)

I've had a single lead Kardia since 2014. I have broken a few while staying in accommodations with tile floors & mine break when they hit those floors. You can get new ones off eBay for under $40 US. [www.ebay.com]

The single lead is adequate and significantly cheaper. The 6L is a step up with extra features the average user may not benefit from, but if you want the deluxe model and don't mind parting with the cash, go right ahead. Both are equally accurate.

What you don't need is the subscription service. You're getting that from Natale's staff for free.
