Hi all you. I have had for some months flash in my eyes when I go to bed and turn of the light , when I then close my eyes in the dark I can see light flashes, I have one other person with the same flash and believe it or not its my wife. Her flashes started many years ago and doctors had not a clue about it. Possibly a reaction to a drug? I believe detached retinas usually look like a curtain coming down, although there could be other visual aberrations.

I thought this was normal. I always have flashes in my eyes when I switch off the light. I can focus in on them and change their shape. I often see faces in them which change and when they get gruesome I can make them friendly.
