Yes. I watched the webinar at Jackie’s recommendation. He seemed to downplay the risk of stroke if one stayed healthy. Cleared up many of my questions.by Robin - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quotecolindo He also has a great article on Natto. Yes, I heard him on a podcast with Dr. Paul Saladino, carnivore advocate. I just got his new book. very interestingby Robin - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Hi All, Again thank you all for your invaluable information. I really appreciate it! I'm planning on stopping Eliqus over the weekend and starting Nattokinase, pill form Allergy Research Group. Jackie recommended this brand to me and she researched it heavily. Other items I would like to take as well are reishi and chaga mushroom, Hawthorne, Linden, and various herbs (sage, yarrow and oatsby Robin - AFIBBERS FORUM
Wow............. Thank you all for this wonderful information. It does make one wonder what the right decision for me is. Stay tuned I guess. I'll keep you posted. FYI...on Nattokinase. Allergy Research Group advertises "Nattokinase NSK-SD 2000 FU" for about $42 for a bottle of 60 gel caps. Life Extension prices were better than Amazon. I took this product for quite a long timeby Robin - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello All, Thank you all for your insight and comments. I was very active on this site about 10 years ago when Hans Larson was the manager of the site. I never felt that folks where "ragging" on one another. We might be sensitive sometimes, but that is understandable considering afib can make one kinda nuts. I'm seriously studying the possibility of stopping Eliqus and repby Robin - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello All, I have been lurking on this site for a long time now. I was very active many years ago. I'm a 74 year old male who has had afib/flutter issues on and off for over 40 years. I was a paroxismal affiber for years but I guess I'm a CHADS 1 because of my age. Last March I had a pacemaker implanted because of a very low pulse. Last July I had an ablation at Albany Med in Albaby Robin - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello All, Some of you may recall my recent post about "the craziness continues" My main problem is I am in and out frequently with PVC's and PAC's and ectopics thrown in for decades. Last month I went from aflutter to afib. EP decided on a cardioconvert which was scheduled for this past Thursday. Was in hospital for the procedure. Thank you for your comments folks, Pompon...……...I never heard of unsustained afib but this sounds exactly like me. I have had ectopic, PVC"s, PAC"c and infrequent tachycardia events for probably over 40 years. Which bring up some interesting questions like should I be on blood thinners all the time just in case? A year ago I felt ill and went to my family Doc who said I was just havby Robin - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thank you for your comments. Crazy thing is inconsistent reading from the Kardia app. This morning first reading said Normal. Second reading a minute later read, Unclassified. Next reading a minuter late said possible afib. 3 different readings in a two minute period?????????????????????? I had a Holter last Sept. Conclusion was: afib with good heart rate and some periods of bradycardia. Rareby Robin - AFIBBERS FORUM
The craziness continues. I honestly don't know what I have. Last month EP gave me an EKG and told me I was in a flutter. Scheduled an abalation in Glens Falls Hostpital. North of Albany, NY. I went to see him last Friday and he says I am now in afib. Can't do ablation for that locally so will have to go to Albany for that. I am in line for a Dr. Natale ablation in the spring. Speaking of Eliqus. Does the science know what the risk of stroke is from a fib or a flutter if no blood thinners are taken vs. what is stroke risk reduced to if on Eliqus?by Robin - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello All, I'm back from a lovely Mississippi River Cruise. While away I assumed I was in NSR. A visit to my cardio guy last week proved differntly. He said I was back in a flutter. He asked me when it happened. As I do not have any symptoms I told him I had no idea. He thought it odd that I don't have any symptoms. He schedlued me for an appt with a local EP and told me an ablation mby Robin - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello All, I just saw something on the internet that said one should not take curcumim while taking Eliquis. I'm ignoring that advice because I believe curcumim is really a great supplement with positive health issues. Cheers, Robinby Robin - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks for your comments. I guess I would be better off not paying attention to the blood pressure cuff or the Kardia EKG thing. I'm driving myself crazy eh? I take my heartbeat at my wrist. Sometimes it is skipping around and then 10 seconds later I detect a steady normal pulse for a minuter or more. It looks like I'm in and out all the time which seems pretty bizzare does it not? Hello All, I was very active here about 10 years ago when I had a bout of afib. After a month or so I cardio converted on my own while getting a massage and have more or less remained in NSR until recently when I found out I was in aflutter. I am a 72 year old male, Vietnam veteran service connected for ptsd. I have had heart "issues" for 40 years. Would often have ectopic beats andby Robin - AFIBBERS FORUM
