Quotesafib Anne, Reviewing your previous posts you have a resting HR in the 40's and 3 second sinus pauses, and possible sick sinus syndrome. And based on some of the experts here you decided to megadose on supplements, especially Mg? Did you review this with your EP? I have had similar symptoms in the past, and they were similarly aggravated by these supplements. I subsequently was inforby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteElizabeth Anne: How much Potassium are you taking? Do you know what your potassium blood level is? A few years ago I started to take a pot. supplement and I started getting runs of AF during the day as well as the evening. I am vagal and never started an episode of AF in the daytime, I quit the potassium supplement and the runs of AF stopped. My potassium level when taking bloodwork iby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi John For what it's worth, I am pretty sure I would have had regular ectopics before my afib diagnosis. I now have several afib episodes a week, always preceeded by ectopics (which I describe as "regularly irregular beats" vs the "irregularly irregular" beats of afib). Moreover, when not in afib I am often having ectopics (feels pulse) - yep! Kind regards Anby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi all, I started my supplementation program 6-7 months ago. It includes 800 mg magnesium, 2000+ mg taurine, coenzyme Q10, potassium chloride & 8 oz low-sodium V8 juice. I am also on 5 mg Eliquis. However, my afib episodes seem to be becoming more frequent & longer in duration. I now have episodes of 12-24 hours every few days - relatively asymptomatic but unnerving given afib begeby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hi all, I am looking for a talented, caring, patient-focused EP in Australia, either in Newcastle or Sydney. Can anyone provide suggestions? Thanks very much for whatever help you can provide. Kind regards Anneby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Everyone Can you tell me how you can differentiate between ectopics - does a PAC feel different than a PVC? Thanks and regards all, Anneby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yes, George, my low HR combined with lengthy sinus pauses the EP attributes to the training so he has had me cut back significantly. Interestingly, he seemed to indicate once l had a pacemaker installed he'd set it to 60 & let me run as much as l want (we've yet to discuss the running as a trigger, as l've only recently started keeping track). Hi all, I am new to my Kardia and the ECG printouts are incomprehensible to me. I've searched online for primer in the basics of reading an ECG but can't seem to find anything which is for non-health professionals. Anyone have any suggestions where l can find ECG Reading for Dummies? Thanks and regards, Anne New South Wales, Australiaby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Liz, I don't have any input for you re the pacemaker as l don't have one (altho my EP says it is in my future), since your post about the puffing l have been trying it and it worked for the first time last night. I seem to go into afib after a run & sure enough it happened within a half hour of finishing. After a couple of tries l converted, however, it didn't last and lby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
George, You mentioned that your afib burden is low - how often do you go into afib so that you need to convert with the flec? Cheers Anneby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Bolimasa, I, too, have started experiencing tinnitus, at the end of June, although it is not pulsatile but rather a constant high-pitched ringing. I think I may have had a degree of it previously, but I woke up in the middle of the night with my ears ringing and they haven't stopped since. The ringing seems louder at some times than others. I have scheduled appointments for a hearinby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Wolfpack, You mentioned that your afib episodes were preceeded by PACs - did you find there was anything you could do while experiencing the PACs which prevented an afib episode from coming on? Regards Anneby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello Fellow Travellers on the Afib Road, I realise the topic of triggers has probably been addressed here a number of times before, but I am relatively new to afib and the forum and am in the initial stages of discovery about this condition generally and my condition specifically. So please bear with me. I am relatively asymptomatic, so with my newly-purchased Kardia at my fingertips (thaby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello Pandapap, I have nothing to add to the sage advice of the veterans you find here - only my own encouragement to hang in there. I am a newbie afibber myself & understand how overwhelming it can be to have all this come at you at once. You will survive and you will adapt. Try to take it step by manageable step and carefully consider everything you are learning. And take comfortby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Shannon, I live in Australia. Would you have any suggestions as to how I might go about finding who the premier ablationists are here? Kind regards Anneby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hi Liz How did you continue to exhale for a few minutes without breathing in? Could you give more detail? Thanks Liz - Kind regards Anneby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi all, In addition to paroxysmal afib (vagal) & bradycardia l have been told by my EP that l most likely have early sick sinus syndrome (l assume all these conditions are inter-related). I have started a supplementation regimen which includes 1000 mg of magnesium as well as taurine & potassium. However, l remember reading somewhere in one of these threads (can't find it now) thatby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
I took up distance running only 3 years ago (at age 60, go figure) and my event results are nothing to write home about so l am not a highly-trained athlete - l just love running. Along with a RHR in the 40s my EP is also concerned about my numerous nighttime sinus pauses (currently as long as 3 sec). When l am in afib my HR can shoot up to an "astronomical " 100 or so - and l seem tby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Doug, I am a newbie afibber having been diagnosed in the last couple of months. I am currently at 800 mg of magnesium supplements per day, working up to 1000 mg (I use Doctor's Best High Absorption). I have ordered taurine but am not sure of the daily dosage to take. I would also like some input on potassium - not only the daily dosage, but what kind - I am confused by the diffeby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks very much George, My EP has put me in a 2-month period of detraining (after l ran a half marathon on April 15) to see what happens with my resting HR & afib. I never had dizziness, lightheadedness or difficulty breathing while running, and don't recollect any strange feelings afterward. I am on no meds as yet other than low dose aspirin but have just started supplementing wby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Everyone, Like Juan l am a newbie posting for the first time, although l have followed the forum for a while. I am 63 yr old female & was diagnosed a few months ago with afib & bradycardia after my new sports watch was showing high HRs whIle running. A Holter monitor picked up the afib (vagal); otherwise l was asymptomatic. After reading that "afib begets afib," l figby AnneC - AFIBBERS FORUM
