HELP! Nuclear Stress Test results
December 04, 2003 08:27AM
I just got my results in the mail today and need help interpreting what it means if anyone can help.

IMPRESSION:
Fixed decreased activity in the inferior wall. This maybe artifactual or due to small amount of fixed infarction.

Anyone?

If it's of any help, I would interpret it as follows: They have seen a little less activity (= a little less blood circulation) in the lower part of the wall and they are not sure if that is a "device generated effect" (artefactual) caused by the image generating device or if was caused by a minor infarction.

Debbi:
I would agree with Gert. Infarction means "small injury" at the bottom of your heart vs. electrical interference (artifact).
