21 days post-ablation - NSR

Hi all - I've made it 21 days without a hint of afib. Nice feeling. This on top of the 2 month run of no afib prior to the ablation.

But - the true test will come after 2 months and I go off the Flecanide.

I am at 19 days post-ablation. Same Doctor--same experience. One day at a time, of course, but what a difference so far!

Hey Jackie,

Way to go. I'm 17 days post-ablation (I think we both had Dr. Natale at CCF) and NSR for me, too. I've had some skipped beats, but ABSOLUTELY NO AFIB. Isn't it grand? I'm in the "medicated and waiting" period, just like you. I continue to be hopeful. Isn't it great to wake up and feel a normal heartbeat? Congratulations.

Yes, Billo - it is a wonderful feeling. I'm only very slightly apprehensive about the "going off meds" portion coming up in two months. But, I also feel that the long I'm in NSR, the better the odds that my heart won't care when I go off and will remain calm. I'll be very happy to get off the Flecanide and deliriously happy to be off Coumadin.

Hey Jackie,

I'm SO ready to be off flecainide and coumadin, as well! I plan a ceremonial burning of my last prescription bottles to celebrate my liberation. I think you and I will be tacking together, since our procedures were so close together. Are you going back to CCF in February? Have they contacted you for an appointment yet?
