Small hard spot near catheter insertion?

Hello,
It’s been about 9 days since my ablation and I just noticed a small roundish hard spot near the catheter insertion area on my right groin. Is this normal or something of concern?I’m not experiencing any pain and there is no noticeable swelling that I can discern. Thank you.

Totally normal and harmless. It's a small hematoma your body will eventually absorb. Could take weeks, though.

Thanks again Carey!

Carey is right. If you are concerned you can ask for an ultrasound. I had it ultrasound because the pain felt like my experience with a one time dvt and it turned out to be a hematoma. It was never hard. It still is sensitive but I’m not concerned.

Yup. It'll go away.
