Another point of view on what to expect after an ablation

I found this site, written by an EP, helpful for me on further understanding what to expect after an ablation, especially GI issues and pain at the insertion groin areas concerns from this EP’s website remaining after 3 days.

I slept briefly 3.5 hours interrupted yet another night. Up 3 times due to GI pain, bloated, gas and incredible burping marathon (more extreme than drinking a “big gulp” size of root beer) and pain in the insertion areas just to manage to go back to sleep and get up an hour later and later again with same symptoms. I read burping and GI is multaq side effects. Pain still after 3 days post ablation in right insertion area is a mystery but mentioned in above link. In such cases this EP prescribes antAcid. I took a Prilosec @12:30am and a couple spoons of dairy free coconut milk ice cream @3am to coat GERD. Insertion right groin pain still remains. It’s more like a nerve pain but annoying enough to prevent sleep.

I am sharing because I found it helpful.
