AV Node Ablation with a pacemaker

Has any one know someone who has had this procedure?

No, but from what I understand it is not considered good practice now. I understand, if your pacemaker fails, you are done. Also, it doesn't stop the afib in the atria, so you still have the stroke risk.

Go to [www.pacemakerclub.com] and read the recent messages, there is quite a few posts about people that have had AV node ablations. I agree with George, that would be the last resort.
