Cough from Flecainide ?

Has anyone experienced this side effect from Flecainide? Been on it 6 months and have been coughing about a month now.had s chest X-ray which was clear.

Cough has been reported as a side effect of flecainide but it's rare. Are you also on a beta blocker?

Hi Carey,
I’m on Flecinaide 50 mgs 2 times, 12 1/2 mgs metoprolol 2 times a day, eliquis 2 times, and 100 mgs losartan for blood pressure once a day.

For what it’s worth I’ve taken Flecainide 100mg twice a day for 11 years no cough no probs. But then again we are all unique experiments of one.

If I was betting I'd put my money on the metoprolol. Beta blockers are well known to cause coughing in some people. Ask your doc if you can switch to diltiazem and see if the cough goes away.

Thanks Carey for thst advice. I will run it by my cardiologist. I also made an appointment with pulmonary specialist.
