Diazepam after an ablation

Diazepam after an ablation
August 23, 2017 03:30AM
Hey guys, I'm currently into my 9th week post-ablation and I am due to go away for 10 days on Friday. Now, I'm not a great flyer and the last half dozen times I've flown my GP has prescribed me diazepam. Would this have any adverse effect or screw anything up as I'm still 'technically' in the 3 month blanking period?

Thanks for your advice.

Hi, did you ask your doctor? I would think it would be perfectly fine if it lessens anxiety. Good luck!

Should be no problem for your flights DavrosT, especially for such short duration use. Some alternatives you might find helpful too are L-Theanine at 200mg 3 to 4 times a day. Adding 100mg to 200 mg of chewable water Pharmacy-GABA from Natural Factors can really help with more significant anxiety.

You might find if you still needed some extra calming action on top of this Theanine dose, before and during your flight, your may well do fine with a much smaller dose of the Valium.

Learning to do relaxed rhythmic breathing exercises at will can really help with calming down in stressful or claustrophobia scenarios as well.

Best wishes DavrosT
