Positive Dysphotopsia after Cateract Surgery
January 10, 2020 07:33AM
I had cataract surgery on my right eye 3 weeks ago.

I discovered when driving after dark this week that I have the above condition. Internet searches have indicated there is no cure. I will see the surgeon next Thursday and would like to know as much as I can before then. If there really is no cure it will simply be that I can't drive after dark - just too dangerous. That will be a big loss for me.

Any comments will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Sam

Sam, I don't know if you checked out Google Scholar. It is the place I go when I have to make a long reach for results.
Here is an interesting search there:

Positive Dysphotopsia Treatment - Google Scholar

The are some cases of hopeful results here,

Also, I think you should seriously consider getting a second opinion.

Sam, you are not in the US, correct? It looks like there are some lenses in Europe that help. See here.
