Gentlefolk,

I see with great frequency discussions of health matters of different kinds assuming correlation is causation.

It is not necessarily so !

Sometimes it can be simple. If a man is shot through the heart he dies.. That's causation.


When more ice creams are eaten by children drownings increase sharply. It is not the ice creams causing the drowning it is the likelihood of swimming more..

Maybe the person who is eating more of theoretically bad product X is eating more of .another product that is bad or the combinations are bad..

This makes it more difficult to work out likely causes but we have to deal with reality.

Life is not meant to be easy.

Dr gundry should be looked at with this in mind.
